  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does it cost?

It costs students nothing to participate. There should be no (or very little) out-of-pocket costs for hosts to put on a local tournament. Prizes are optional, and you can solicit those as donations from supporters and the community. We will provide suggestions and guidelines for those.

Is this where hosts and student participants can register?

No. This is a temporary informational site until our official site on www.unleashingideas.org is ready (official website for all Global Entrepreneurship Week events). Join our mailing list, and we'll send you the link when it's ready. This site will redirect to it as well.

Who can participate in the Global Innovation Tournament?

Any student worldwide.

Who can be a local host for the Global Innovation Tournament?

Any educational organization affiliated with Global Entrepreneurship Week may host a local tournament. All you need to do is register as a Global Entrepreneurship Week partner. Learn more at www.unleashingideas.org.

Will someone provide support and tell hosts what we need to do?

Yes, we will provide detailed materials and guidelines to hosts in order to make your job easier. We are also available by email to answer questions. Please hold these until after July 20, after you have received and reviewed the host kit. It will contain detailed instructions; promotional materials, ideas and sample content; judging guidelines; suggestions for prizes; details about what to do if your students don't have access to video equipment or computers; and much more.
